The event was conceptualised and directed by Kerry mountaineer, Con Moriarty working with professionals in the fields of canoeing, (Star Sailing, Kenmare) running, (John Lenihan and An Ríocht AC) mountaineering (various individuals and Work-At-Height Training Ltd) and biking (Killorglin CC), local landowners and the local community. The innaugral challenge was a deemed a tremendous success by those who participated and by the organisers, thereby validating future events and the hope to establish the event as the premier adventrue challenge of it's kind in Ireland, attracting national and international attention. |
